Oded

I was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, where I studied video production and editing in art college. After working as a production manager and editor in Israel, I moved to Los Angeles in 1988. For seven years I served as head video editor at Studio25 Hollywood, and when the studio closed, I transitioned into animation—working and learning at VisionArt, Rhythm & Hues, and Sony Imageworks.

The last six years of my sixteen-year animation career were spent at ImageMovers Digital, Robert Zemeckis’ studio, where I contributed to motion-capture films including The Polar Express, Beowulf, and A Christmas Carol.

In 2010, I embraced a new creative path. I studied acting at Second City Hollywood, LifeBook Acting Academy, and Anthony Meindl’s Workshop, and soon began landing roles in films, commercials, music videos, and stage plays. In 2015, a piece I had written before becoming an actor evolved into a one-man show—The Book of Oded, Chapter 2—which earned rave reviews and became the highlight of my acting and writing career.

By the end of 2023, I felt called to return to my first artistic loves—photography and painting—while continuing to write. My current project, Brilliance, transforms original photographs into richly layered works using Photoshop as a creative tool.

I am excited to share this new chapter of my work with the world.
